Vacancy position for each day will be published in www.cusat.nic.in one day prior to the date of real time admission. Vacancy available for 12.07.2018 will be published only after 6 pm on 11.07.2018. The vacancy position so published may vary depending on number of candidates waitlisted. Candidates should report at 9.30 am at Seminar Complex, in front of Administrative Office, CUSAT, South Kalamassery, Ernakulam District . Those coming after 10 am sharp will not be permitted to register for real time admission.
Before attending real time admissions candidates are advised to read carefully the counselling instructions published in the website cusat.nic.in
Who can Attend Real Time Admission ?
Those candidates who had not got any allotment and have CAT 2018 rank can participate. Those who got allotment and took admission need not attend the real time admission. They will be considered for higher options based on rank and availability of seats. Those who got allotment and failed to pay fees/took admission can not attend Real time Admission
What is Real Time Admission ?
In the Real time admission, seats are allotted to candidates who report at the venue based on their options already registered and their CAT rank. For real time admission candidates along with parents have to report at Seminar Complex, in front of Administrative Office, CUSAT, South Kalamassery at 9.30 am on the dates specified above. Range of CAT rank in each day is given above. Candidates have to register their names and allotment will be made based on availability of seats and number of candidates registered on each day. Candidates who got allotment have to submit all required certificates including Non Creamy Layer Certificate in case of SEBC/OBX candidates and Community certificate in case of SC/ST candidates. They have to pay required fees on the day itself and to collect admission certificate after certificate verification. All candidates in the present waiting list should attend real time admission/counselling. Candidates who attended real time admission on a day and did not got allotment will be waitlisted. The candidates so waitlisted need not attend further real time admissions. But they have to report for joining if they got allotment in subsequent updating.
What is difference between Real Time and Spot admission:
Real time and spot admission is open only to candidates having CAT 2018 rank. In real time admission only, candidates who had not got allotment is eligible to attend and allotment is based their registered options, CAT 2018 rank and availability of seats. In spot admission registered options will not be considered and all those who have CAT 2018 rank can participate. Allotment is based on availability of seats and CAT 2018 rank. Choice of candidates will be collected before allotment in spot admission.
