told me to fill the form and apply
for hostel.
they also told that
i will mostly get accomodation
becouse am from long distance
what that means ?

hostels will only be available from second year

There are several unofficial reasons.

• Seniors
  if you / fresher are allotted to the hostel the 3rd years and 4th years might not get sufficient rooms. ! inorder to serve them the Rule is changed so.
   
• Ragging
  the authorities want to avoid every such situations.
