If both CSE AND IT ARE ALMOST SAME IN TERMS OF SYLLABUS AND PLACEMENTS..WHY CUTOFF OF IT GOES MINIMUM AND CSE MAXIMUM.?

I have downloaded the syllabus of both CSE AND IT OF CUSAT...

and found that almost 50% of syllabus...of both CSE AND IT ARE SAME.....IS THAT REMAINING 50% SYLLABUS...RESPONSIBLE FOR HIGH CUTOFF...AND GREAT DEMAND OF CSE...?????

Why gr8 difference in both these branches...

IITs does not have IT BRANCH....THEY ONLY HAVE CSE...!!!!

And please stop comparing IITs and CUSAT.

IITs are totally in a different level.

check the placements and talk to the some people who have passed out with these this is because placements and working area and the type of job must be the key factor governing the rush in these two branches search it on the net as very few people can tell it very correctly

IT in CUSAT has more Electrical and Netwirk based subjects . they concentrate more on webdevelopment, Where as CS department is on prgramming and debugging. ! (from my point of view.)
