my friend polymer is a good course,every course has got its own importance.....didn't u see the placement package of polymer it was 17 lpa by a japanese company named kokoku intech co....

You have chance for Photonics , Instrumentation and Polymer Science & Engineering in main campus !! You might get some other department .. Dont lose hope... keep your fingers crossed !!
