CUSAT's SOE Campus had a Open network of Wi-Fi available.but its now blocked and WEP encrypted due to unauthorized access. So obviously you cant access the Wi-fi Network in campus from now on.. this situation will be changed as time passes. Still you can easily use  wifi in Library which has equal speed. I am attesting a picture of Speed at SOE CUSAT tested by one of our team member in different Blocks.

Exactly as students used the Wifi in blocks for movie downloads these servers are WEP encrypted. but you are free to use Library Wifi .

SOE is partially wifi. U must check forum for similar queries buddy. These questions are answered before also.
