Is Safety and Fire good placement branch in cusat?

Question

I got SF1F. Now i am in a big pressure from my family. I am very interested in this branch, but my uncle says the branch is not well known and no placement. Is my uncle's opinion wrong?

points in favour of s& fire are these

s& fire has high placements

an easy syllabus to study

high package placements guarantee in cusat

that is for sure

but the only reasons against it is that

you cant do m tech with that

you cant attend ies or ias with that branch

some say that they lack job satisfaction in the jobs of this branch

but otherwise in terms of salary and placement guarantee it is one of the best branches of cusat and it is the reason why most people neglect those negative points

if you have interest in this you should opt s&f

even your chances in SHPF are fair (around 40%) but you would have to wait for the spot rounds

SF is not taught every where in India ... and yes there are many misconceptions about it as well .... it pays u more than MECH.... yes i said it right MORE..... many think that the placement is only in the private sector.... wrong ... public sector takes SF students as well ... and that too Maharatna Status companies like SAIL , GAIL, ONGC, IOCL, CCL take them as well .... more stringent worknig culture and safety related jobs in the high risk sector make this even better for SF students to get high paying jobs in mining ... iron and steel .... petroleum and alike sectors ....
