its debatable.

some of its branches like marine engineering,naval architecture and ship building and safety and fire are of that level but not all the branches.

it was on this account only that it was going to be upgraded to be an IIEST !!!! (but it didn't happen).

The faculty for most of the branches are well qualified and you can say probably of the level of iit

but iit's have there own standards and i think your statement is quite a exaggerated one.

you may say that statement for nits(again some).

overall, every university has its own  bright and dark sides and the bright side of cusat is its quality of education. which is all what a good student wants.

You can't properly compare the IITs with CUSAT! Anyway, I believe that CUSAT's SHPF has IIT standards but not all courses obviously. CUSAT is a superb university but IITs take the throne!

cusat is best in whole asia .how could u compare with iit. what the hell iit are. i am blindfold lover of cusat .nothing can stand in front of cusat.

Cusat was founded to be one of the iits ... but then kerala govt would lose a world class institution .. so standards are same ... but you know .... the iits take the cream ... so that's a sad story ..but like the iits you have to earn your degree here
