i would like to cancel my higher options partially after the 1st allotment. it was mentioned that the person should submit a letter to the director requesting for the cancellation in person. what does it exactly mean? or is there any alternative procedure? or can i send it with anyone?

i don't think that there is any alternate procedure....

u cancel ur remaining higher options (if any) before the next allotment as per
the schedule. Requests for cancellation of higher options should be submitted in person to the
Director, IRAA between 10.am and 3.00 pm on working days.
Requests via post/email/telephone/FAX etc will not be accepted.

please read the PDF's carefully .... there is NO ALTERNATIVE OPTION.... u have to give it in person and in writing .... if u want to send someone who lives nearby to do the cancel the higher options then please speak via phone to the officials ... they might allow ... but it all depends on their policies
