cusat getting upgraded to IIEST

Question

is it true that cusat will get upgraded to IIST soon?if it gets upgraded then is it only SOE getting upgraded or both soe and CUCEK will upgrade???if CUCEK is getting upgraded.then is its facilities compitable for an IIST or whether the authorities will care about CUCEK CAMPUS toooo???????

see the news for that upgradation has been going on from a long time since last 4 to 5 years and and any upgradation for iist can not happen overnight so dont think too much about it

yes if any uogradation takes place then that would be for both the campuses dont worry

As far as we are concerned there is not such confirmations that CUSAT will be an IIEST ! The discussions are going on from 4-5 years .. but nothing happened so far. So the proposal may be political. CUCEK to be a part in IIEST will only be decided by Government. There is no hint of it now.

union HRD minister,shashi tharoor last month told that cusat will be upgraded to IIEST in 3 to 4 months.here is the link of the report..
