Do i have chances in gettig upgraded to SOE?

Question

I was alloted to EC2P today!But i wanted SOE badly! My waiting list rank is 6 for EC1P! Are there any chances of upgradation?

yes chances are there but it is purely the role of luck now whether those 6 seats will be cleared or not

try that in the spots as well

Should i go for the spot admission then cause i already got allotted for EC2P and the 6th rank i told was in ETB category!

today it was said that the next allotment is on 10th. did they mean that it is spot admission?  Do I have to take my parents along as i already have got my admission. And thank you for your kind reply! :)
