im now admitted for EE 2F and im expcting updation.as per above details where will i get???is instrumentation better than ME @ cucek????plss say...is itrumentation better than mech????

instrumentation is specialized branch  which deals with the measuring and operation of measuring instruments which are used in the design and configuration of automated systems.

these engineers are required in heavy industries like steel plants and refineries.....

Then if u score good gate score then the central companies like IOCL,ONGC,GAIL etc require instrumentation engineers whom they recruit using gate score..but these central companies don't come to campus for recruitment,u need to  attend the off campus recruitments....
Even after btech u could pursue Mtech in instrumention in NIT or IITs,

The Indian Institute  of Astrophysics, Koramangala, Bangalore offers integrated M.Tech.-Ph.D.(Tech) course in astronomical instrumentation in collaboration with the Department of Applied Optics and Photonics, Calcutta University. The duration of the M.Tech. course is two years.
In cusat,this year the core companies that visited the department was BP and L&T...among 15 students(without any supp) 6 of them got placed with a package of 4 lpa......

you can search more about inst on net and see if you are interested in this branch and its syllabus because inst at the soe is good and so is mechanical as a branch but only problem can be of the second campus

the faculty is good but i have heard that the labs are not good
i dont know much about the conditions there
but if you are interested in mechanical then you should take that as your branch

i dont know about that but if you want a safe side then join inst because that is good at soe-cusat
strikes do occur at the second campus and it is also affected sometimes by excessive rains

overall soe is somewhat better than kuttanad that why many prefer that
but overall it is your choice
if you stay somewhere nearby and if you can then you should once visit the second campus

but sir,as per the details of waiting list i will get ME2F before INST....what can i do sir???i will lose my inst optn whn the nxt updation comes as 3 ppls are abv me in ME2F but 7 ppl remain for INST and it is a lowr option too.....how will i get inst????

if you have decided to take inst or me at the soe then you should go to the IRAA department of the cusat and cancel your options for me2f and leave your options for me1p and inst
this can be done by partial cancellation of your options
inst can be achieved with this waiting status of 7
chances are there even for me1p  but less chances

but sir...one of my frnd went there to cancel highr option but they didnt allowd and said him tht"u hav to cancel it at the time of admission itself".unfortinatly i havnt cancelled it during admission and its tough to travel 150 km and cancel tht option...i was thinking tht if i didnt get inst then i will atleast get mech at cucek.tht was the reason y i left the options unchanged....anyway everything is in the hands of god and lets hope for the best tht he has made for us....
