bro, if one general candidate has a waiting list of 50, and other non-general candidate has a wl more than 50 (say 300) but has a category wl below 50 (say 35) , who will be alloted first??

Well that totally depends on the remaining seats available.....
ur examples is quite rushy...i would tel u if ur(gen cand) waiting list status is 50,another one(non gen cand) waiting list status is 60 but its category status is 10 then he has got an edge....reservation plays a big role buddy....

so. for a big difference in gen wl, reservation has no big effect??
in some category like KSC,PHC,OBH etc there would be huge effect...but in case of reservation like ETB,MSM.. there wouldn't be much effect,but hav got a edge when compared to general candidate...

given the numbers u have quoted ..... u will be alloted first..... see his category wl will move up when people of his catagory dont take up the seats reserved for them..... so there are a very few people in that case ... but in case of general seats the waiting list moves up a lot more rapidly than u would think ....
