cutoff confusion

Question

i want to ask if i see the cutoff for genaral what it means? kerla general or all india.. like i saw last rank in 2nd campus for IT  was 15000(gen) but my friend had to opt for cs in main campus under nri quota as she was not getting IT/cs  in any campus though her rank was 5500... :/ i didnt understand this case..

Thats coz you might have looked at the Free seat coloumn !! familliarize with facts that 

• Free seats are for keralites'
• payment seats for non-keralite !

and what you mean by cutoff.. its not cutoff its only the last ranks published according to the admissions occoured ! and the free seats got priority first then only the payment seats are considered !

that was the main doubt.. thanku.. :)
but my chances seems less according to last year.. in 2012 last rank admitted under payment seat was approx 3000-4000.. only :(
but as i see 2011 people got IT and CS at a rank of approx 10000 also under payment seat.. :)
i'm confused now..

Last ranks varies every time. It depends on the demand for the seat.
