Is it possible to change my branch from civil or any other to mechanial after first sem?? and if yes, how??

Yes it is ... The process is called branch change. the process happens after the First year. The branch change is strictly based on the performance of student in first year and "unfilled" seats in requested department. you may find more information in these links
