The application form for applying INSPIRE scholarship says the following:

"The scholarships are limited only to the candidates studying courses in natural/ basic sciences at B.Sc., B.Sc (Hons), integrated M.Sc./MS programs in any one of the recognized institutions in India.  The scheme in its current format does not include courses in engineering, medicine, technology and other professional / applied science courses. " Unquote

 Also, the endorsement certificate to be issued by the head of the institution where the student is studying says the following:  Quote:
"It is certified that all Information given by the applicant ………………………………………………. son/
daughter of …………………………….. are correct and s/he is pursuing the BSc/ BSc Hons/ Integrated MSc / MS Program in Course # like Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics/ Life Science/ Zoology/ Botany/ Statistics/ Geology/ Geophysics/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ -------------------- since .................................... with the following major subjects:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
….
Dual Degree Information
--------------
" Unquote

Because of the above, I have a lingering doubt.
