Is there any chance for branch change next year?

I have got IT in soe and and have not studied cs in 12th  that's why in search of branch change.
My cat rank is around 4500 and want any branch other than IT.Help me in this regard.

Yes there might be a way to change you branch in the end of first year. you must remember the Branch change works on some facts.

• Entirely depends on the seats remaining in th department (you just applied for).
• Depends on your performance / CAT rank.
