Undesired branch alloted to me in the 1st allotments!

Question

I'm alloted to CE2F under gen quota (to which I gave low priority). They're asking me to download the challaan and pay Rs43000! But I just don't want CE2F! Can I wait for the second or third rounds of allotments and not pay the fee now itself (June 7th is the deadline!) so that I may get alloted to a more preferred branch?!

Did I get the procedure wrong? Pls correct me.

I think I'm close but I'm getting the feeling that I'm doomed with CE2F!

they are asking you to pay the fees so that your options are still valid for future allotments.. you have a good rank and i am sure that you will be upgraded in the next allotment itself.so complete all the formalities and wait for next allotment.

u hav to pay theprescribed fees to stay alive in the allotement .......hopefully u will get the desired branch later in the allotement process.......fee will be refunded accoring to the branch u get ....... :)

hey buddy keep hope you have got a good rank and most probably you would get alloted to your desired branch

but its very necessary to pay the fees else you wont be eligible for further upgradations

if u dont pay the fee ... i means u r not interested and thus your seat will be given to someone else .... so no upgradation ... if u want upgradation.... pay the fee ....u'll surely get a better branch by 2nd or 3rd allotments
