About hostel

I heard that hostel facilities are provided by University for first year btech students from this year onwards is that true? How should I apply for that and when should I apply before class starts or after?

Kindly give us the source.. we still have no info on the same.. ! Except the reservation students no hostel facility to the first year btech students. !
