Is there any online allotment procedure for CAT ?

Will I have any idea beforehand about which stream or seat I will get during counselling ?

Also, is it possible to choose a stream that I had earlier given as lower option. eg If I gave CS1F as option no.1 and EC1F as second option, am I allowed to choose EC1F even if I am allotted to CS1F at first.

No online allotment will be there for CAT-2014.

Once you are alloted to a branch, your lower options get cancelled. If you want to cancel your higher options too then you have to fill up a form.

After the first allotment you will get you know about a waiting list status of your other options. And after you are allotted an option all lower options will be automatically cancelled.
