hey there is something called clearing on leaving.

as if you have only one subject remaining before your passing out year, and if you have done an average perforamce, your subject will be ignored and will be given a pass. (but thats only a heard story, and we had many frnds who experienced the same mercy.)

They might be just bluffing.. but the valuations are a quite liberal . but some tmes these valuations have more error percentage. So if you fail in a subject just take your chance with a re-evaluation .

Basic Civil and Mechanical Engineering is a single subject. although the faculties are different the marking comes united so you need to score 30 marks for Internals and 45 marks in external for BC&ME to get a pass.

Inorder to pass every subject in CUSAT you need to score atleast 50 percentage in every subjects. ie 75/150 where 45 out of 100 should be surely scored. inorder to pass internals you must get 30/50 which is not compulsary but the lost marks in nternal shall be made through external

Eg: a candidate scored 25 for internals in a subject must get 50 in his external to be a pass.
